Heathlands Animal Sanctuary

COVID-19: Heathlands Animal Sanctuary will not be taking any new animals, including returns, owing to the new Government legislation. Viewings of dogs in care are also suspended. We thank you for all the offers of foster care but, as we cannot do home-checks, this too is not possible. If you have already reserved a dog in care we will contact you regarding the way forward and we thank you for your patience and understanding at this most difficult time. We ask that you all adhere to the current advice so that we can return to normal as soon as possible and sincerely hope you and your family remain safe and well. Thank you.

About Cathy

Cathy is an absolute darling girl, who's had a pretty hard life so far. She's clearly had many litters of puppies & arrived to us with Pyometra, a life threatening infection of the uterus. Luckily for her, the founder of Heathlands could see something wasn't right on arrival & Cathy was taken to the vets where they diagnosed the problem & kept her in for an emergency spay. She is now recovering well.

Throughout her ordeal, Cathy has never stopped wagging! She's such a gentle, friendly sweetheart & loves other dogs. People, she can understandably be a little anxious about sometimes. Cathy's ideal home would be a quiet one, preferably adult only, with a friendly, confident dog, already in residence for her to follow, learn from & snuggle up to.
