About Stewie

Stewie, is NOT a lap dog!

Stewie, although small in stature, is looking for a big dog lovers home. He clearly missed out on being socialised when he was younger so is in training to overcome his insecurities when meeting other dogs & new people. His foster home have been working hard on this & he has greatly improved but would need a home that is dedicated to continuing his training so that he doesn’t revert back to his worried self.

This little guy knows basic commands, has great recall, is house trained, will happily go in his crate & is super playful. He loves the car, but is travelling in his crate, so he understands that he doesn’t need to be attached to you at all times! Although Stewie is noisy when meeting new dogs, he currently lives with 4, all bigger than him & this is helping him realise he is not top of the pack.

He would be best suited to an adult only home with other dog/s to ensure he keeps gaining confidence. Although Stewie is a little dog, he needs a home where he will be treated like a dog & not babied (picked up, sat on laps, on the sofa/bed etc) - as this has caused many of the problems currently being dealt with - but being super cute, he needs a family who can be strong and stick to this! He has bags of character & has really come on leaps & bounds since being in foster, treated like a proper dog & walked for many miles a day. He is a much less stressed & happier dog because of it. He really deserves a home where he can enjoy long walks & lots of playtime as he loves his tiny tennis ball! No cats
