Dolly is a lovely, friendly dog that has greatly improved from the scared & withdrawn little girl who arrived back in December. She hid in her crate for the first 2 weeks, wouldn’t even come out for food & now she is running round the house & garden, happy to play with us and her toys. She's a very sweet natured & affectionate girl once she trusts you but is still scared of the world around her. She has now got to the stage of being more confident with daily life in a house with her foster family but will get spooked by anything new.
She sleeps well at night, is house trained & has learnt some basic commands. . She walks okay on a lead but will bark in fear at anything new, including people and dogs, which will need to be worked on.
Dolly will need a confident, friendly, preferably male dog, already in the house to help guide her & to show her there's no need to worry. She will need an experienced dog owner who will not baby her or pander to her fears and insecurities. It will probably need several meetings to help Dolly get to know & start to trust you. She has obviously had a rough start in life but with time, patience & training, we know she will continue to blossom. Kids of 12+. Not cat tested
