Leon is the sweetest, gentlest but ever so worried fluffy fella of about 15kg.
Fostering Leon has been incredibly rewarding, from the moment we met him, it was clear that he had a lot of love to give.
We were immediately struck by Leon's gentle nature. He never showed any hint aggression, even when overwhelmed. Instead, he would retreat, shaking, or try to make himself as small as possible and hide. We started with a quiet corner under the table with blankets for him to use as a safe space and a consistent routine.
We spent a lot of time sitting quietly in the same room, just letting him come to us on his own terms. He walks beautifully on the lead with no pulling but he can still get scared of loud noises when out.
Leon is doing well in the home now, he still takes a while getting used to new people & places but he's making great progress.
Despite the initial hurdles, seeing Leon's progress has been truly heartwarming. He sometimes gets scared of boisterous dogs but would will need a confident, well trained dog to show him the ropes and play with. He comes alive in the garden, running around with his foster sister.
Leon is a truly special boy who needs a patient and understanding home to continue his journey.
Quieter home needed. Visiting kids would be fine. Fine with cats
