Glorious, vintage, Shadow. Such a sweet, calm & easy fella around the home, it's really hard to see how he ended up in a UK dog pound at his age.
He was out of time, with less than 24hrs left before being PTS, when word got round to us that he needed a rescue space. We at Heathlands believe vintage dogs are precious & shouldn't be discarded just because they need some extra tlc so we had to help.
Luckily for Shadow, he is in good health, blood tests were great, he's had a dental & his mobility is good, just needs a bit of muscle building but can get up on the sofa fine! At only 18kg, he's not too heavy to help in & out of the car if needed.
He gets on fine with the other dogs in the foster home but isn't really interested in them. His focus is all for his human. As he is predominantly deaf, he likes to know where his person is, which he does by trotting along at your side or just settling in the same room.
He's good on walks, doesn't generally pull on lead. Also travels well in the car.
A quieter home would be preferred but he'd be fine with visiting children. Not cat tested but this can be arranged.
